No I’m trying to avoid companies like salehoo and worldwide. Don’t know if they are bad or good, so I’d like to hear more from other’s experiences.

But as to the website, that’s the EASY part. I’ve built several ecommerce sites upon wordpress.

I’ve yet to setup a site that is the full store though, for physical goods. Electronic goods are a slam dunk.

When you say you have been trying to avoid dropship agent companies, what exactly do you mean? Places like ATS distribution ?

So you have began creating WP sites with this method already, yes?
Have you been focusing on niche sites and products, or a wide selection?

I’m all ears. I’ve been working this dog over quite a bit and have made some headway, but I’ve been trying to avoid dropshipping agent companies. May be a mistake, but I believe that it is an untapped market out there that will let us create ‘virtual shops’ where people would be super glad to purchase from. When you can virtualize a shop, you can do some pretty incredible things and your costs are rock bottom.

So is there a future in dropshipping and wordpress. I definitely think so!

This is an interesting debate, and one I have considered taking up myself. I began my Internet Marketing back in 2006 with dropshipping and wholesale, but was only using 3rd party sites to make sales.

That is when the idea sprung to mind, Not so much regarding using wordpress to build the sites (although if I were to do this now, I would definitely use wordpress) but I loved the idea of getting my own website making sales via dropshipping, and ranking for my target keywords, to pull in the customers, which would cut out fees, and boost profits dramatically.

Unfortunetly I never got around to implementing this idea, as my focus turned to other Internet Marketing strategies, which I still use today. But the way things are changing online at the moment and into the future, I really think this is a great idea to focus on, as not many seem to be implementing it to the full potential, and a great system could be made from it….hmm….Ideas are coming to mind already

I believe a key part to this kind of business model would definitely be the ability to fully automate the the sales process, to get the orders sent directly to the supplier, and keep these sites as “hands free” as possible, which I’m pretty confident can be solved easily, but it is something to consider.

I also believe that Wordpress is up to the challenge. Soon I hope to have a more concise tutorial on how to set this all up, but like everything, it just takes time.
